ABOUT VESSEL DOCTOR

Built to understand vessels, not merely inspect them.

Vessel measurements should lead to clearer technical decisions. Our approach connects disciplined measurement with engineering interpretation and reporting that technical teams can act upon.

OUR BELIEF

Separate readings should become one clear picture.

Owners and yards often receive noise readings, vibration data, environmental results and machinery observations without a connected explanation of what the vessel is experiencing. Vessel Doctor was created to bridge that gap—without overstating what the evidence can prove.

MISSION

Make specialist vessel diagnostics more accessible, consistent and useful.

Helping marine stakeholders improve safety, habitability, environmental performance and machinery reliability through clearer evidence.

VISION

Build a trusted global marine survey and diagnostic network.

Recognised for technical integrity, responsive Asian coverage and carefully selected international collaboration.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

The principles behind every reading.

01

Accuracy before assumption

02

Evidence before recommendation

03

Independence before convenience

04

Clear reporting before complexity

05

Safe work before speed

06

Long-term vessel health before short-term appearance

MACHINERY DIAGNOSTICS · BUYER EVIDENCE

Before appointing a machinery diagnostic team.

Define the decision before comparing proposals. A repeatable vessel machinery condition-monitoring programme supports trend-based maintenance decisions. A marine machinery vibration investigation tests a specific symptom or suspected fault. Ask who will collect the data, interpret it and review the recommendation.

  • People: request relevant machinery experience and the proposed analyst's qualification evidence, including its issuer, scope and validity where certification is claimed. A training attendance certificate is not the same as an assessed qualification.
  • Instruments: ask which sensor and analyser will be used, how their identities connect to calibration or verification records, and whether the intended measurement range and mounting are suitable. A calibration document alone does not establish diagnostic competence.
  • Report: agree the named asset, measurement points, operating state, comparison basis, uncertainty or limitations, and decision owner. A permissioned, redacted example can show how measured facts are separated from interpretation and untested alternatives. Use the machinery diagnostic evidence pack to check the expected record structure; its blank examples are not completed vessel results.

ISO 17359:2018 addresses programme planning. ISO 18436-2:2014 addresses vibration personnel qualification; a revision is in development, so confirm the applicable edition when appointing the team. These references do not establish Vessel Doctor personnel certification, supplier recognition, or class or flag approval. Project-specific credentials and any required acceptance authority must be verified separately.
